Our body reflects what we truly feel. Therefore if we are feeling unhappy and vulnerable our body language will reflect this and make ourselves smaller, hunched up and defensive. This low power body language makes us appear as less powerful, less credible and untrustworthy to others and can also cause an internal feeling of low confidence. All of these factors create a Catch-22 cycle as when we look and feel vulnerable we are more likely to be victimised.
This course is designed to teach students small body language changes that can improve their own confidence levels and help them appear more powerful which helps reduce the risk of bullying.
Areas that can be covered include:
- Trust indicators
- The role of posture and eye contact in creating a powerful impression.
- The importance of vocal power to convey confidence
- Understanding negative nonverbal gestures
From this training your students will have practical actions to put into place which will help them feel more confident and project this to others. This raised self-esteem should aid them in dealing with challenging situations.
