Difficult conversations are part and parcel of being a healthcare professional. You may be required to be involved in procedures in which you need to impart negative information and investigate sensitive issues.
Imagine being able to direct your questioning/diagnosis to a particular area due to being able to interpret an individual’s nonverbal behaviour, or imagine being able to control how other’s perceive you, and to soften the impact of these difficult conversations. This workshop is designed to help you do all of this and more, including teaching you how to disengage non-verbally in order to reduce conflict while still conveying concern and warmth.
Areas we will cover include:
- Convey nonverbal confidence, warmth, respect and interest
- Convey nonverbal credibility and authority with our vocal power
- Methods to reduce conflict and build understanding
- Understanding negative non-verbal
- Using non-verbal to elicit greater information
This training will allow you to elicit more information from patients, carry out more effective visits and resolve situations in a timely and conflict reducing manner. This training will help you engage in more productive conversations, build stronger patient connections and actually make you feel more confident to achieve a successful outcome.
